The Italian American Bank building features Renaissance Revival architecture with granite cladding on the ground floor and terra-cotta on upper levels.
Constructed in 1907 following the San Francisco earthquake, the building served as headquarters for A.P. Giannini's Bank of Italy until 1921.
The building represents early 20th-century banking evolution, designed by architect John Galen Howard with white marble interiors and gold leaf details.
Located at 552 Montgomery Street, the structure maintains many original features on the first floor, including preserved plaster and marble work.
The ground floor now houses a luxury retailer Wingtip, which incorporated tailoring and barber services in the basement of this historic landmark.
