Oaks Pioneer Church

Oaks Pioneer Church is a white wooden chapel built in Gothic Revival style, perched on a bluff above a park area. The interior features high ceilings, brass chandeliers, and simple wooden pews arranged to seat approximately 75 people.

The building was originally constructed as St. John's Episcopal Church in 1851 and was relocated to its current location at the edge of a park in 1961. This move gave the structure a new purpose in the community.

The chapel serves as a gathering place for the community, hosting weddings, concerts, and remembrance services throughout the year. People of all backgrounds find use in this space for their personal occasions.

The chapel is easily accessible via public parking spaces nearby and has a bride's dressing room along with bathroom facilities for visitors. The grounds are relatively level, making it simple to move around and explore the surrounding area.

The chapel is surrounded by gardens featuring roses, rhododendrons, and Japanese maples that offer views of a river. This landscaping creates a natural setting that ties the building into the surrounding landscape.
