Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Indoor arena in Lloyd District, Portland, United States
The Veterans Memorial Coliseum features glass walls and aluminum exterior panels, representing the International Style architecture designed by Skidmore Owings Merrill firm.
Opening its doors on November 3, 1960, the arena served as the home court for the Portland Trail Blazers basketball team from 1970 to 1995.
The venue holds the Veterans Memorial Honor Roll, recognizing military service members while hosting sports events, concerts, and community gatherings throughout the year.
The 12,888-seat arena undergoes a major renovation between 2024 and 2026, funded by 53 million dollars in bonds from tourism resources.
The facility hosted notable performances by The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, and the 1965 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four tournament.
