America's Car Museum

America's Car Museum in Tacoma is a large automobile museum housing over 300 vehicles displayed across multiple levels connected by ramps throughout the building. The exhibition space covers 165,000 square feet and features cars from different time periods and manufacturers.

Harold LeMay, a businessman in the refuse industry, assembled one of the world's largest private automobile collections and established the foundation for this museum. His collection forms the core of the exhibits and documents the development of American automotive manufacturing over many decades.

The museum displays vehicles from different eras of American automotive history and shows how cars shaped everyday life for people across the country. You can see how design and technology evolved over the decades and understand the role automobiles played in American culture.
