Stanley Park, Urban park in Vancouver, Canada

Stanley Park spans over 1,000 acres of West Coast rainforest, featuring an 8.8-kilometer seawall that borders English Bay and downtown Vancouver.

The land, used by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years, became Vancouver's first park in 1886 and received its name from Lord Stanley, Governor General of Canada.

The park maintains nine totem poles at Brockton Point, representing different First Nations communities and telling stories of their traditional territories.

Visitors can explore more than 27 kilometers of forest trails, access beaches, or participate in activities at the Vancouver Aquarium between 9 AM and 5 PM.

The park contains over half a million trees, with some specimens reaching heights of 76 meters and dating back several centuries.
