Dinotown, Theme park in Bridal Falls, Canada
Dinotown was a theme park spread across different locations near Chilliwack that featured cement dinosaur sculptures and hand-powered rides for families. The attraction included prehistoric exhibits and displays that created an immersive experience focused on dinosaurs and early earth history.
The site opened in 1975 as Bedrock City featuring Flintstones theming before transforming into a dinosaur-focused park in 1995. After closing in 2010, it relocated temporarily to several locations including Cloverdale Fairgrounds and Cultus Lake before ceasing operations.
The park displayed specimens from the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Alberta, connecting visitors with paleontological discoveries from across Canada.
The park was located at different sites over time, with the main location along Highway 1 east of Chilliwack and later appearances at Cloverdale Fairgrounds and Cultus Lake water park. Visitors should note that the attraction no longer operates, having ceased activities after 2017.
A White Spot Dinersaurus restaurant opened in 2000, combining family dining with dinosaur theming exclusively for park visitors. This partnership between the park and the Canadian restaurant chain was an unusual way to enhance the overall experience.
