Acting Superintendent's Headquarters

Acting Superintendent's Headquarters is a wooden structure from the early administrative period of Yosemite National Park, located at the Pioneer Yosemite History Center in Wawona. The small building displays the rustic architecture of that era with its typical wood construction.

The building was constructed in 1904 at Camp A.E. Wood and served as the command center for Army officers protecting Yosemite National Park before the National Park Service was established. It was later relocated twice, reflecting the park's changing administrative needs.
