Henness Ridge Fire Lookout, Fire lookout tower in Yosemite West, United States.
The three-story redwood structure stands on a granite foundation, featuring a garage, living quarters, and an observation room with external catwalk.
Built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the lookout operated until 1966 as part of the National Park Service fire prevention system.
The structure represents National Park Service rustic architecture, designed by John D. Coffman following the 1928 Sequoia National Park fire.
Located at 6,300 feet elevation, visitors can reach the lookout through a hiking trail starting from the end of Azalea Lane.
The facility contains original fixed equipment including three cupboards, an observation table, and specialized lightning insulation systems.
