Cultural Centre of Firminy-Vert

The Cultural Centre extends 110 meters in length along an artificial cliff in the former Razes quarry of Firminy Vert, featuring three distinct levels.

Architect Le Corbusier completed this cultural center in 1965, making it the only structure he finished during his lifetime in the Firminy Vert development.

The center contains multiple spaces for artistic expression, including a music room, an auditorium, a performance hall, and dedicated areas for plastic arts and dance.

The facility opens its doors from Monday and Wednesday through Sunday between 13:30 and 18:00, offering visitors access to various cultural activities and exhibitions.

The building's south gable displays a fresco representing the different arts practiced within the center, while its innovative roof structure uses suspended cables supporting concrete slabs.
