Murray

Murray is a residential city located in Salt Lake Valley between Taylorsville and Holladay. The community features neighborhoods, local businesses, and public spaces that serve daily life for thousands of residents.

The settlement began in 1848 when Mormon pioneers founded the area as an agricultural community. Growth accelerated in the late 1800s when industrial operations, especially metal processing, brought jobs and development to the region.

The Desert Star Playhouse and Murray Arts Centre organize regular theatrical performances and community events throughout the year for local residents.

The city connects to the TRAX light rail system, making public transportation accessible for getting around. Most locations are easily reachable by car or transit, with parking generally available throughout residential and commercial areas.
