Saint-Hilaire, Winter sports resort in Plateau-des-Petites-Roches, France
Saint-Hilaire is a ski resort on the Plateau-des-Petites-Roches with slopes between 970 and 1320 meters elevation. The runs wind through forests and offer views of the Dent de Crolles mountain.
The resort was founded in 1981 and has been run by local volunteers since then. Following difficulties in December 2021, the dedicated group continued working to keep the operations going.
The residents founded the AG'HIL association and organize winter events like torchlight descents and nature activities for visitors. This dedicated group shapes the character of the place through regular events and their connection to the mountain.
The resort offers equipment rentals for all skill levels. Visitors can find slopes of varying difficulty, from gentle green runs to more challenging red trails.
A small restaurant called La Grange aux Loups sits right at the base of the slopes with mountain views. It serves regional cuisine and is a popular gathering spot after skiing.
