Château Bernadotte, Wine estate and château in Saint-Sauveur, France

The vineyard spans 40 hectares of fine gravel and clay-limestone soils, with 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot grapes.

Founded in 1860, the estate takes its name from Marshal Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, who became King Charles XIV John of Sweden in 1818.

The wine production combines traditional Médoc methods with modern technologies, aging wines for 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels.

The estate welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, except during Christmas week.

The vineyard maintains certification as Haute Valeur Environnementale, implementing natural fertilization methods and responsible resource management practices.
