Château Batailley

Château Batailley is a classified Bordeaux winery in Pauillac with approximately 57 hectares of vineyards planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The vines grow in gravelly soils that give the wines their distinctive taste and structure.

The estate was purchased by the Borie brothers in 1932 and divided in 1942, with the main château remaining under Marcel Borie's ownership and management. This split fundamentally shaped how the property developed over the following decades.

The estate produces wines under three different labels, each representing a distinct quality tier that appeals to different collectors and drinkers. These bottles carry the story of the place and reflect the winemaking traditions maintained across generations.
