The Borie brothers purchased the estate in 1932 and divided it into two properties in 1942, with the main château section becoming the property of Marcel Borie.
The estate produces three distinct wines: the primary Cinquième Grand Cru Classé AOC Pauillac and two secondary labels, Lions de Batailley and Pauillac de Batailley.
The château creates approximately 22,000 cases of grand vin annually, maintaining consistent production levels throughout the growing and harvesting seasons.
The vineyard soil composition includes deep Günz, silica, and sand gravel, contributing to the specific characteristics of wines produced at the estate.
