Château Belgrave

The Château Belgrave vineyard extends across 59 hectares with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grape varieties in the Haut-Médoc region.

Initially a hunting lodge in the 1700s during Louis XV's reign, the estate transformed into a wine-producing property and received Fifth Growth classification in 1855.

The estate maintains traditional Bordeaux winemaking methods while incorporating modern viticulture techniques under the management of Dourthe since 1979.

The château produces approximately 350,000 bottles annually, offering both its main wine Château Belgrave and a second label called Diane de Belgrave.

The property's gravel-rich soil structure over clay subsoil creates specific conditions that particularly benefit the cultivation of late-ripening grape varieties.
