Phare de Patiras

The Patiras lighthouse is a 9-meter-tall navigation beacon located on an island within the Gironde estuary. Its slender tower stands prominently above the water and marks a key waypoint for vessels traveling through this river passage.

The refuge at the base replaced the original keeper's residence and now offers modern lodging for visitors. This transformation keeps the site functioning as a living place rather than simply a historical monument.
