Château Duhart-Milon

Château Duhart-Milon is a winery in Pauillac with around 76 hectares of vineyards growing Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on gravelly soils. The property includes modern cellars and tasting facilities where wines are stored and presented.

The estate was established before the French Revolution and received its Fourth Growth classification in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Under the Castéja family's direction, the property developed into a recognized wine producer.

The estate takes its name from the former residence of Sieur Duhart, a naval officer who served King Louis XIV in the 18th century. This naming reflects the long connection between the property and the family that shaped its identity.

Visitors can join guided tours through the vineyards, cellars, and tasting rooms to sample different vintages aged in oak barrels. It is advisable to book in advance and allow sufficient time to explore the full property.

The same technical team that manages Duhart-Milon also oversees the nearby Château Lafite Rothschild, sharing expertise between the two estates. This close collaboration shapes the quality standards and production methods at both locations.
