Maverik Stadium, Utah State, American football stadium in Logan, Utah, US

Maverik Stadium is an American football stadium in Logan surrounded by white and blue bleachers that frame the green playing field. The Cache Valley mountains rise behind the structure, creating a natural backdrop for games and events.

The stadium opened in 1968 as Romney Stadium before receiving its current name in 2015 through a partnership with a convenience store company. This naming change marked a significant shift in the facility's modern era.

The field honors Merlin Olsen, a Utah State University graduate who became an NFL star with 14 Pro Bowl selections and Hall of Fame recognition. His name represents local pride and the connection between the university and professional football success.

The stadium provides seating for about 25,000 spectators with modern video displays throughout. An adjacent athletics complex nearby offers additional facilities and amenities for visitors.

During a 1980 expansion, local residents volunteered to help construct roughly 10,000 additional seats for the stadium. This community effort created a lasting bond between the neighborhood and the venue.
