Shangri-La Toronto, Luxury hotel skyscraper in downtown Toronto, Canada
Shangri-La Toronto is a 65-story modern glass skyscraper in downtown Toronto that houses 202 guest rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the skyline and Lake Ontario. The building includes six elevators, eight underground floors, a theater, fitness center, and the Miraj Hammam Spa with steam rooms.
Architect James K. M. Cheng designed this modern structure, which opened in 2012 as the second Shangri-La hotel location in North America following the Vancouver property. The project represented the chain's expansion into major Canadian cities.
The Zhang Huan Suite displays contemporary Chinese artworks, while the Fazioli Suite features an Italian handcrafted piano in its refined interior. These rooms show how the hotel brings together artistic expressions from different cultures.
The hotel sits on University Avenue in a central location and is easily accessible by various transportation options. The property offers comprehensive facilities for a comfortable stay whether you are traveling for business or leisure.
The Architect Suite presents works from James Cheng's own architectural collection through portraits and design elements integrated into the furnishings. This room serves as a personal architectural overview displayed by the designer.
