The complex was built in 1984 as a global headquarters for Sun Life Financial. The company later relocated to another location in the city, changing the building's primary use.
The centre incorporates meeting spaces and business facilities that reflect Toronto's position as a major financial hub in North America.
The building connects directly to Toronto's PATH underground walkway system and sits next to St Andrew Subway Station. This makes it easy to reach from other parts of the city at any time of year.
The top floor of the eastern tower holds a private club with wide views over downtown Toronto. Few people walking past the building realize this viewing space exists above them.
