Young Centre for the Performing Arts

The Young Centre for the Performing Arts occupies two carefully restored 19th-century storage buildings and contains multiple performance spaces along with rehearsal rooms all in one location. The facility also includes a cafe in the foyer where visitors can relax before or after shows.

The buildings were originally constructed in 1888 as storage facilities for the Gooderham and Worts Distillery and housed aging whisky during production. They were later transformed into a cultural space while keeping their Victorian industrial architecture intact.

The space serves as a home for theater productions and draws visitors who want to watch local artists and students at work. The halls are used by different theater companies and training programs, giving the place a vibrant and inspiring character.
