Tuba City

Tuba City is a census-designated community located at approximately 1500 meters elevation within the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona. The settlement contains schools, healthcare facilities, and shops that serve the residents of this region.

The settlement was named after Tuuvi, a Hopi leader who allowed Mormon settlers to establish a community in this area during the late 1800s. This founding shaped how the place developed into the administrative hub it is today.

The Explore Navajo Interactive Museum displays traditional crafts and daily practices of the Navajo people who have lived in this region for generations. Walking through the exhibits gives you a sense of how these communities maintain their customs today.
