Église de la Nativité de Notre-Dame de Beauport, Catholic church in Beauport district, Quebec, Canada

Église de la Nativité de Notre-Dame de Beauport is a Catholic church in the Beauport district that follows the architectural plans of its predecessor with specific modifications to the bell towers made in 1916. The building displays the typical layout of a parish church with its characteristic facade and the architectural elements common to religious structures of this region.

The religious site dates back to 1660 when a chapel called Notre-Dame-de-Miséricorde was first established, and it was elevated to parish status in 1684. Multiple earlier buildings occupied this location before fires destroyed two of them, leading to the design of the current structure by Georges-Émile Tanguay.

The church remains central to the local community's religious life and gathers people for regular worship and celebrations. Its presence shapes the character of the Beauport neighborhood and reflects the importance of faith in this area.

The church is located on Avenue Du Couvent in the neighborhood and is easy to find when walking through the area. It welcomes visitors and holds regular services that are open to all who wish to attend.

This is the fifth church building on this site, embodying a long history of rebuilding and destruction at the location. Its design comes from architect Georges-Émile Tanguay, whose work shaped the form of this important neighborhood landmark.
