Mendrisio

Mendrisio is a protected heritage town in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland that stretches across a wide valley floor with traditional architecture at its core. The town is home to the Accademia di Architettura, a respected faculty that draws students from across the globe.

Records of the settlement stretch back to the 8th century, and archaeological finds reveal Roman occupation with coins, tombs, and residential structures. This ancient history established the foundations for the town that stands today.
