Zhoudai Bridge is a sea crossing that spans across water near Zhoushan, connecting several islands together. The structure includes multiple sections with large arches that allow ships to pass underneath.
The project began in 2017 and was completed in 2021 as part of a larger port development for the region. Construction represented an important infrastructure undertaking for maritime connections.
The bridge links five islands in Zhejiang Zhoushan: Fuchi, Zhoushan, Changbai, Daishan, and Yushan, transforming the maritime transportation patterns of local communities.
The structure enables faster connections between the islands and the mainland. Visitors should note that traffic here is regulated and crossing the bridge takes several minutes.
The bridge features a double-tower steel box girder cable-stayed structure with a main span of 550 meters, incorporating advanced engineering solutions for coastal conditions.
