Fort Bridger Rendezvous, Historical mountain men gathering in Fort Bridger, Wyoming, US.

Fort Bridger Rendezvous is an annual event held each September that draws participants from across the nation to demonstrate traditional fur trading practices and historical competitions. The four-day gathering offers visitors a look at the skills and craftsmanship techniques from that era.

From 1825 to 1840, this location served as a meeting point where fur trappers, Native Americans, and traders exchanged goods and supplies. This era shaped the culture of the American West and marked the height of the fur trade.

Visitors see people dressed in clothing from before 1840, wearing traditional hats, shirts, jackets, and dresses that represent the life of fur trappers. These costumes bring the past to life and show how people looked and dressed during that era.

The site can be visited daily, and guests should expect uneven terrain and open areas. Comfortable shoes and sun protection are important since there is little shade.

The event takes place on a 37-acre site where 27 historic structures from earlier times still stand. Groshon Creek flows through groves of pine trees over 100 years old, creating a natural setting for the gathering.
