Glacier Basin Campground

Glacier Basin Campground is a facility within Rocky Mountain National Park at about 8,500 feet elevation with roughly 150 campsites arranged in several areas with mountain views. The sites are spread across the landscape and provide access to various trails in the surrounding region.

The area was once part of routes used by prospectors in the late 1800s when they searched for copper deposits in the region. This early activity shaped the understanding of the landscape before it later became protected parkland.
