Nottingham Field, Football stadium at University of Northern Colorado, US.
Nottingham Field is a multi-purpose stadium at the University of Northern Colorado with 6,500 seats and a natural grass playing surface. The facility supports both football and track and field events with expanded east stands and video display capabilities.
The stadium opened in 1995 as a result of private funding efforts and replaced the previous Jackson Field athletic complex. It was named after Victor R. Nottingham, the primary benefactor who made its construction possible.
Northern Colorado Bears celebrated consecutive Division II national football championships in 1996 and 1997 during their initial seasons at this venue.
The field sits at elevation, which can affect how people experience physical activity at the venue. Concession areas and merchandise stands are available throughout the stadium for visitor convenience.
The playing surface underwent an IRONTURF upgrade in 2021, a renovation funded entirely through donor contributions rather than school budgets. This hybrid surface technology improved durability and performance during both football and track events.
