University of Wyoming College of Law

The University of Wyoming College of Law is a building housing modern classrooms and specialized courtrooms designed for legal practice simulations. The attached library holds a substantial collection of legal materials and reference documents for student research.

Legal education began at the university in 1920 as a small program within another department. Over time it expanded significantly, eventually receiving its own dedicated building in the mid-20th century.

The Wyoming Law Review is managed by students here, allowing them to write and edit articles about legal subjects. Through this publication, they gain hands-on experience in legal research and writing.

Access to classrooms and the library is available during business hours, and it is wise to confirm opening times before visiting. The facility is easily walkable and has parking available for guests.

The building regularly hosts actual court proceedings from a state supreme court and a federal appeals court. This gives students the chance to observe real legal proceedings firsthand.
