Mara Provincial Park

The 5.9-hectare park features sandy beaches along the eastern shores of Mara Lake, offering water access and designated swimming zones for day visitors.

The park, established in 1938, bears the name of John Andrew Mara, a 19th-century rancher and politician who influenced the development of this region.

The land holds significance for First Nations communities who utilized the waterways and natural resources of the Okanagan Valley throughout their history.

From May to September, visitors can access facilities including potable water, restrooms, picnic areas, and a boat launch without paying admission fees.

The park provides direct access to Mara Lake, where anglers can catch Rainbow trout and Kokanee while recreational boats navigate the waters.
