Mount Revelstoke National Park

Local citizens campaigned to protect this mountainous region, leading to its establishment as a national park in 1914 by the Canadian government.

Indigenous peoples utilized the land within present-day Mount Revelstoke National Park for traditional hunting and gathering practices through generations.

A 29-kilometer road connects the Trans-Canada Highway to Mount Revelstoke's summit, reaching an elevation of 1,943 meters above sea level.

The interior rainforest contains an isolated population of banana slugs, marking the easternmost point of their distribution in North America.
