Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park

Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is a nature reserve in the Canadian Rockies with a network of running and skiing trails. The facility sits at the base of Mount Rundle and offers routes for winter sports enthusiasts and summer visitors.

The facility opened in 1990 as a specialized training center and grew into an important hub for winter sports athletes across Canada. The infrastructure has supported competitors preparing for national and international events since then.

The park serves as a national training ground where Canadian athletes prepare for international competitions in cross-country skiing and biathlon.

The park offers a mix of groomed paths and natural routes that work well for walking or skiing exploration. Visitors will find a main building with a cafeteria, equipment rental, changing areas, and showers for their visit.

The center uses snow machines to keep the trails open during winter season and ensure consistent conditions. This technical support allows reliable training regardless of natural snowfall.
