Sundance Provincial Park

Sundance Provincial Park encompasses 37 square kilometers of natural territory with sandstone cliffs, steep valley walls, and five connected Emerson Lakes in western Alberta.

The Alberta Tourism Department established this protected natural area in 1999 to preserve the geological formations and maintain the ecological balance of the region.

The Wild Sculpture Trail guides visitors through natural sandstone formations that demonstrate the geological processes that shaped the Canadian landscape over millions of years.

The park provides two separate camping areas near Emerson Lakes, with designated spots for tents and access to fishing locations during summer and winter seasons.

Only electric-powered boats and paddle craft receive permission to navigate the waters within the park boundaries to maintain the natural water ecosystem.
