Young's Point Provincial Park

Young's Point Provincial Park extends across 30.5 square kilometers of protected boreal forest ecosystem along the north shore of Sturgeon Lake in Alberta.

The provincial park received its designation on August 3, 1971, named after Frederick Campbell Young, a homesteader and son of Elizabeth McDougall and Harrison Young.

The park promotes environmental education programs that focus on local ecosystems, conservation methods, and the natural heritage of northern Alberta through guided activities.

Visitors access modern camping facilities, boat launches, and twenty kilometers of maintained trails for hiking in summer and cross-country skiing in winter.

The waters of Sturgeon Lake within the park support populations of Burbot, Northern Pike, Walleye, and Yellow Perch for year-round fishing activities.
