Galaxyland, Indoor amusement park at West Edmonton Mall, Canada
Galaxyland is an amusement park inside West Edmonton Mall, offering 27 rides across approximately 37,000 square meters. The installations range from gentle children's swings to roller coasters for older visitors.
The park opened initially under a different name and was renamed Galaxyland in 1995 after the Walt Disney Company took legal steps over name conflicts. This change marked a fresh start in the park's identity.
Visitors encounter rides themed around Hasbro characters like My Little Pony, integrated into the park layout since 2019. The themed zones draw from board games and animated characters familiar to many families.
The building shelters visitors from rain and cold, allowing the rides to remain open year-round. Separate areas with gentler attractions are designated for younger children.
Until 2023, the park operated the Mindbender, a roller coaster recognized as the highest and longest indoor roller coaster in the world. This record brought the facility international recognition.
