Morinville extends across 11.15 square kilometers of land, situated 34 kilometers north of Edmonton along Highway 2 at 700 meters elevation.
Jean-Baptiste Morin, a missionary, established this settlement in 1892 with French and German pioneers, leading to its incorporation as a village in 1901.
The Community Cultural Centre presents performances throughout the year and organizes events such as the Snowman Festival, Festival Days, and Light Up The Night Festival.
