Memorial Gates, Military memorial gate at University of Saskatchewan, Canada
The Memorial Gates feature solid bronze imported from England and local Greystone construction, standing at the intersection of College and Hospital Drives.
Built in 1927, the gates commemorate seventy-two University of Saskatchewan students and faculty members who died during the First World War.
The names inscribed on the pillars represent the strong connection between the academic institution and military service during times of national crisis.
The gates remain accessible throughout the year, primarily serving pedestrian traffic while maintaining vehicle access through Memorial Crescent.
The ashes of Frederick Haultain, a significant figure in Saskatchewan history, were scattered at this memorial location.
