Forestry Farm Park and Zoo

Forestry Farm Park and Zoo is a historic site with gardens, forest trails, and animal exhibits featuring North American species. The grounds spread across a wooded landscape where visitors can walk through different areas and encounter various animals.

The site started in 1913 as a forest nursery station that grew and distributed trees across prairie provinces. It became a public park in the 1960s and later developed into a zoo.

The zoo is run by the Saskatoon Zoo Society and works to help visitors learn about animals and conservation through hands-on programs. These activities connect people with the natural world in a way that feels personal and engaging.

The park is open year-round and offers walking trails and guided train rides to explore the grounds. Visitors should dress for the season and allow time to see different areas at a comfortable pace.

A residence built in 1913 with Georgian brick architecture stands protected on the grounds as a heritage structure. This building is one of the oldest remaining parts of the site and reflects the original era.
