Greer County

Greer County is a county in southwestern Oklahoma with roughly 644 square miles of land. The terrain features red bed plains and gypsum hills as you approach the Texas border.

The area fell under Texas jurisdiction from 1860 until 1896, when the Supreme Court reassigned it to Oklahoma Territory. This court decision reshaped the region's administrative future.
