Devils Rope Barbed Wire Museum

The Devils Rope Museum exhibits over 2,000 variations of barbed wire samples, ranching tools, and educational displays about fencing development in the American West.

The museum building, established in 1991, previously functioned as a brassiere factory before being transformed into an educational center about ranching and agriculture.

The museum contains extensive research materials and patent information documenting how barbed wire influenced land ownership patterns across the United States frontier.

Located along Interstate 40 at exits 141-143, the museum maintains seasonal operating hours and contains a reference library for researchers studying agricultural development.

The facility houses the largest collection of published materials about barbed wire, including documentation of more than 450 different patent designs.
