Kallur lighthouse, Red and white lighthouse on northern cliffs of Kalsoy, Faroe Islands.
Kallur lighthouse is a red and white tower on the northern tip of Kalsoy Island, rising from steep cliffs that overlook Eysturoy and Streymoy islands. The structure stands alone on the headland, fully exposed to the sea and weather from all directions.
The lighthouse was built in 1927 and has guided ships through northern Faroese waters ever since. It has withstood harsh Atlantic conditions while maintaining its original navigational purpose.
This lighthouse marks the endpoint of a traditional sheep path that local farmers have used for generations to tend their flocks.
To reach the lighthouse, take a ferry from Klaksvik to Syðradalur and drive through four tunnels. From Trøllanes village, a hiking trail leads uphill for about an hour to reach the top.
The location served as a filming site for the James Bond film No Time to Die, featuring dramatic scenes at the cliff's edge. Visitors can still see the same views and rugged coastline that appeared in the movie scenes.
