Alderney Society Museum, History museum in Saint Anne, Guernsey.
The Alderney Society Museum contains five gallery spaces including the Main Gallery, Issue Room of 1946, Natural History Room, Maritime Gallery, and Temporary Exhibition Gallery.
Founded in 1966 in the Island Hall basement, the museum later moved to the Old School House built by Governor Jean Le Mesurier in 1790.
The museum exhibits trace the island's development from the Stone Age through modern times, featuring rare maps, court records, and the 1940 Census of Alderney.
Museum admission costs £4 for adults with free entry for children, and opens Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 16:30.
The museum received the Museums and Galleries Gulbenkian Award in 1999 for outstanding achievement, presented by Prince Charles.
