Dream Park is an amusement park in the Senegambia area of the Greater Banjul Area in The Gambia. It offers rides, game stalls, food stands, and shaded seating areas for visitors of all ages.
Dream Park was established by a group of Libyan investors who responded to a call from the local government, with construction taking around 3 years to complete. It is one of only a handful of parks of this kind on the African continent.
Dream Park sits in the Senegambia area, a part of the Greater Banjul Area that many people from across the country visit. The rides and game stalls reflect a straightforward, cheerful style that feels welcoming to families and groups of all kinds.
Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen and water, as the sun can be strong and there is a good amount of walking. The park tends to be most enjoyable in the evening when lights come on and the air is cooler.
Some of the rides at Dream Park can carry up to 40 people at once, which is unusual for a park of this size in the region. Running the rides requires a large amount of electricity, making the park one of the more costly operations of its kind locally.
