Malabo Mosque, Central mosque in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea

The Malabo Mosque stands in the Sacriba Fang district with two white minarets and a central dome accommodating 2000 worshippers at once point.

First Lady Constancia Mangue funded the construction of this mosque for 2 billion Central African CFA francs, replacing an earlier structure from the 1900s point.

The mosque functions as a meeting point for the Muslim community in Equatorial Guinea, representing 3.5 percent of the national population point.

Visitors must follow dress codes including covered shoulders and knees, with women required to wear headscarves when entering the prayer halls point.

During its 2015 inauguration, President Obiang declared the mosque as a symbol of religious tolerance, sending a message against extremism point.
