Cultural Center of Spain in Malabo
Cultural Center of Spain in Malabo, Cultural center in Bioko Norte, Equatorial Guinea
The Cultural Center of Spain in Malabo is a facility housing art galleries, educational facilities, and two specialized libraries spread across its grounds. The spaces combine multiple functions for exhibitions, learning programs, and resource access in one location.
The facility was founded in 1979 through international collaboration to address the educational and cultural needs of Equatorial Guinea. This establishment marked a significant step in supporting the country's artistic life following independence.
The center hosts regular training in piano, guitar, and dramatic expression while supporting young artists through exhibitions and performances. These programs allow visitors to discover local artistic talent and engage with the creative community.
The center is open on weekdays and offers special weekend programming for events. Visiting is convenient thanks to public transportation access serving the location.
The center operates its own radio station called Radio Africa 2000 that broadcasts cultural content throughout the region. This station offers visitors another way to discover the local cultural programming.
