Stanley Main Beach, Public bathing beach in Stanley, Southern District, Hong Kong

Stanley Main Beach is a 194-metre gazetted beach on the eastern side of the Stanley peninsula in Southern District, Hong Kong, next to Stanley Market and Stanley Back Beach. It has 13 barbecue pits, changing rooms, showers, toilets, a fast food kiosk, a playground and a water sports centre. The sand slopes gently to the water, with low green hills and buildings on the far shore.

Stanley has drawn swimmers since the colonial period. In the 1970s the beach was gazetted and opened by the former Urban Council. In February 2000 the government secured HK$51.4 million from the Legislative Council to build the Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre.

Stanley Main Beach hosts the Dragon Boat Championships every year, when crews race from the beachfront. The beach also draws windsurfers and other watersports users, and its 13 barbecue pits make it a base for groups who combine swimming with a visit to neighbouring Stanley Market.

Stanley Main Beach is about 194 metres long, with 13 barbecue pits, changing rooms, showers, toilets, a fast-food kiosk, a playground and a water sports centre. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The beach lies next to Stanley Market and Stanley Back Beach, so facilities and shops are within walking distance.

In June 2013, an international hotel and flight booking website ranked Stanley Main Beach tenth on its list of the world's ten best beaches. The beach is about 194 metres long and holds a Grade 1 water quality rating from the Environmental Protection Department.
