Al Ahmadi Governorate

Al Ahmadi Governorate is an administrative region in southern Kuwait extending along the Arabian Gulf coast and serving as a center for oil operations. The territory includes several urban districts such as Abu Halifa, Egaila, Fahaheel, and Fintas, each with residential and commercial areas.

The region was established in 1962 and named after Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who led Kuwait during the early oil discovery period. This naming choice honors his role in transforming the nation as petroleum became central to its economy.
