Al Shaheed Park, Urban park in Kuwait City, Kuwait
Al Shaheed Park is a large green space in Kuwait City featuring walking paths, water features, planted gardens with many plant varieties, and exhibition areas. The grounds combine open areas for strolling with planted sections and different zones to explore.
The park opened in two phases beginning in 2015 and continuing into 2017. It replaced an earlier green belt garden that once occupied the same location.
The memorial museum inside tells the story of Kuwait's military past through exhibits and artifacts. A separate nature museum shows how people live with the country's different environments and climate.
The park is open daily from early morning until midnight and has cafes, restaurants, prayer rooms, and parking available. Best times to visit are early morning or evening when temperatures are cooler.
The grounds display traditional Kuwaiti sailing boats and feature multiple fountains scattered throughout different areas. A concert theater on site regularly hosts performances and events for visitors.
