Imam Baqir Mosque

The Imam Baqir Mosque features four domes and four minarets, with separate prayer halls accommodating 6,000 men and 2,000 women respectively.

Construction of this religious complex began in 2005 with a budget of 340,000 Kuwaiti Dinars and reached completion in 2007.

The mosque bears the name of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, the fifth Shia Imam, who made substantial contributions to Islamic thought and scholarship.

During Friday prayers, the mosque receives its largest attendance in the afternoon, while Maghreb Prayer typically draws around 2,000 worshippers.

The mosque maintains separate prayer spaces that collectively accommodate 8,000 people, making it one of the largest Shia mosques in Kuwait.
