Terrasses de Fontvieille is a multi-level complex that combines shops, museums, and planted gardens on its roof. The structure spreads across several floors and brings together retail spaces with cultural attractions in one location.

The project came into being in the early 1990s, transforming an industrial area into a modern commercial and cultural zone. This shift marked an important step in reshaping the neighborhood.

The complex is home to the Naval Museum, founded by Prince Rainier III to house his collection of ship models, and the Museum of Stamps and Coins, opened in 1996 with the postal and numismatic collections of the Principality. Both sit beside the shops, so a shopping stop can turn into a museum visit.

The complex is easily reached by public transport and has plenty of parking for visitors with cars. The multiple levels allow you to explore different areas at a comfortable pace.

The planted rooftop area is directly accessible from Avenue de Fontvieille and provides a calm spot within the bustle of the complex. Many visitors overlook this publicly available garden easily.
