150er Tux

The 150er Tux cable car spans 1799 meters across the Austrian Alps, connecting the lower station at 1706 meters to the summit at 2415 meters elevation.

Constructed in 2001 by Doppelmayr company, this transportation system enhanced the accessibility of Zillertal 3000 ski area and transformed winter sports in the region.

The tramway serves as a central meeting point for ski competitions throughout the winter season, bringing together athletes and spectators from across Austria.

Operating at 12 meters per second, the cable car transports 1750 passengers per hour between stations, with a journey duration of approximately three minutes.

At its most vertical section, the tramway conquers a 74 percent gradient, making it among the steepest aerial lifts in the Austrian Alps.
